Improving Reporting of Agricultural Emissions and Emission Reductions

Countries’ abilities to track progress towards achieving emission reductions pledges vary widely. Weaknesses stem from several causes, including limited experience with recommended methods and weak institutional arrangements. USAID, CCAFS, and partners are working with countries to ensure that minimum standards for monitoring, reporting, and verification of emissions are evidence-based, feasible to implement, and relevant for policy goals in the agroforestry and livestock sectors.
