The CLEER Tool is a web-based platform that enables users to calculate, track, and project GHG emission reductions as well as energy generated or saved from clean energy actions. USAID Missions and Implementing Partners that measure and report GHG emission reductions from their Clean Energy programs will find this webinar helpful. USAID-affiliated participants will learn how the CLEER Tool can assist in reporting on indicator EG.12-6 (GHG emissions, estimated in metric tons of CO 2 equivalent, reduced, sequestered, or avoided through clean energy activities supported by USG assistance) and indicator EG.12-7 (projected GHG emissions reduced or avoided through 2030 from adopted laws, policies, regulations, or technologies related to clean energy as supported by USG assistance). CLEER is an open access tool and can also be used by others outside USAID to track emissions reduced or avoided.

Participants will learn the basics of the CLEER Tool and will be introduced to more recent or advanced features such as:
1. calculating energy generated from renewable energy actions
2. calculating energy and cost savings from energy efficiency actions
3. customization of the energy impact profile for GHG projections
