Climate Law and Governance Day 2019
Climate Law and Governance Day (CLGD) brings together climate law experts, but also experts from other legal branches including public law, tort law, financial law, international economic law as well as governance experts, delegates and policy practitioners to exchange knowledge and experiences. This year, it is held alongside the UNFCCC CoP25 in Santiago, Chile.
Over a full day of dialogue, keynotes, and parallel roundtable/panel sessions, CLGD 2019 will:
- Profile and share innovative international, national, and local climate law and governance mechanisms, challenges and best practices.
- Catalyse knowledge exchange between delegates, legal practitioners and the legal academic community to co-generate new law and governance knowledge and approaches.
- Facilitate collaboration and a law and governance community of practice to support capacity development to implement the Paris Agreement and SDG 13.
The event will once again convene a diverse gathering of International experts and scholars, legal practitioners, judges, government authorities, and climate leaders from civil society and the private sector.
