Local Capacity Strengthening Forum - Capacity Strengthening in Resilience, Environment, and Food Security Programming
The second annual Local Capacity Strengthening (LCS) Policy Learning and Feedback Forum will take place virtually over six days between Tuesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 10. The Forum will collect candid feedback from partners on the Local Capacity Strengthening Policy’s implementation and guide future implementation.
Join the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) as it hosts a conversation about fostering equitable partnerships in local capacity strengthening that promote a world in which all people have sustained access to safe water, nutritious food, a healthy environment, and improved livelihoods. This session is designed for practitioners working at the intersection of climate change and international development and humanitarian assistance who are interested in resources, evidence-based guidance, and innovative practices to deliver and sustain development results. Building on last year’s success, participants will gain a better understanding of how locally-led development is helping countries mitigate and adapt to climate change across the globe.
Depending on registration of participants, live simultaneous interpretation will be available in Kiswahili, Spanish, French, Arabic, and American Sign Language. If you require a reasonable accommodation, please contact reasonableaccommodations@usaid.gov.
