USAID works with the Department of State and the White House to determine the Agencies’ strategic goals. Climate Change has been identified as a major goal of strategic importance, as documented in the FY14-17 Joint Strategic Plan and the 2015 Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review.
Results related to these goals are made public in a variety of performance reports order to adhere to the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010 (GPRAMA), which provides enhanced performance planning, management, and reporting tools and requirements. Additional information on environmental and climate change funding and results at a country level is also made available online for reference.
Implementing partners and mission staff should be aware of how the results they achieve are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Global Climate Change Initiative.
