Climate Change in Your Sector

Overview
”Climate Change in Your Sector” provides illustrative climate stresses, direct and indirect impacts, and possible adaptation and mitigation responses relevant to the sector of interest. The following nine sectors are covered: 1) Agriculture, 2) Infrastructure, 3) Democracy, Human Rights and Governance and Conflict Management and Mitigation, 4) Natural Resources Management and Biodiversity Conservation, 5) Health, 6) Economic Growth, 7) Water, 8) Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risk Reduction, and 9) Education. Please note that the possible adaptation responses and mitigation opportunities listed here are meant to provide users with illustrative examples of how climate change considerations can be integrated into and strengthen work in your sector.
Inputs and Outputs
Users select a sector to view and are able to view illustrative climate stresses, direct and indirect impacts, and potential adaptation and mitigation responses relevant to that sector. Users can download and print results. The tool is useful for users who are new to thinking about climate change in relation to traditional international development sectors.
Limitations
The examples provided are not comprehensive; they are illustrative.
