April 2015
CARPE (Central Africa Regional Program for the Environment) Homepage
CARPE is an initiative from USAID in partnership with the University of Maryland that works in the Congo Basin to reduce the rate of forest degradation and loss of biodiversity by increasing local, national, and regional natural resource management capacity. As part of a broader objective, CARPE works to alleviate poverty in Central Africa by preserving resources necessary for sustainable development. This website provides information on CARPE partners, forest monitoring, documents and news, and geospatial resources.
