USAID’s new Climate Strategy includes an ambitious target to mobilize $150 billion for climate action. To achieve this goal, USAID staff and implementing partners will need to scale up new and existing efforts across various program areas. Strengthening the capacity to mobilize and use climate finance efficiently, effectively, and equitably is crucial. To support this endeavor, USAID has developed an e-textbook and an online course, tailored for professionals at all stages of their careers in finance, development, and environmental sectors.

Introduction to Financing Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation E-Textbook 

This e-textbook is designed to serve as a detailed reference guide for finance professionals, aspiring specialists, and early-career enthusiasts alike. It covers essential finance terms, principles, and the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of various financial instruments used in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
