Factsheet: USAID's Caribbean Clean Energy Program (CARCEP)

This factsheet provides a brief overview of the USAID Caribbean Clean Energy Program (CARCEP). The goal of CARCEP is to accelerate clean energy development in the region with a focus on Jamaica and the Eastern Caribbean. 

 
Key program activities include supporting policy formation, enabling clean energy development, optimizing variable renewable energy integration, private-sector leverage in clean energy investment, energy efficiency and donor coordination. 
 
The project components are contributing to the host government established targets for enhancing energy security and reducing prices, while supporting national efforts to curb greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
