Gender, Climate Change, and Nutrition Integration Initiative (GCAN)
The Gender, Climate Change, and Nutrition Integration (GCAN) Initiative is part of the U.S. Feed the Future Initiative and works with USAID headquarters, field missions and partners to enhance understanding between climate, gender and nutrition toward enhanced resilience, women’s empowerment and nutrition outcomes. GCAN is being implemented as part of the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). The GCAN website includes information and resources on the work it is doing in Feed the Future countries, such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nigeria and Zambia. The “Outputs” section of the site provides information about a new framework GCAN is developing, a list of tools, mapping resources, and datasets. The website also features a blog and news/events sections.
