Improving Ecosystem Management to Strengthen Resilience to Extreme Weather in the Philippines
An Ecosystem-Based Adaptation Approach

This ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) case study highlights the USAID/Philippinesmission’s Emerging Champions for Biodiversity Conservation and Improved Ecosystems Services (ECBCIES) project, which focused on conserving biodiversity and strengthening ecosystems in six key biodiversity areas to help communities adapt to climate change. The case study also discusses the importance of EbA approaches to strengthening community resilience to extreme weather.
