PACE-D Technical Assistance Program Briefer
The five-year interagency effort has helped India formulate and implement policies and strategies for clean energy deployment. This ultimately means finding ways to integrate clean energy technologies - such as solar power - onto India’s electrical grid. It has assisted in part by linking those developing these technologies to utilities, financial institutions, policymakers and other critical institutions.
Financial partnerships include the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank).
PACE-D also aims to help India improve energy efficiency, including the use of cleaner technologies for power plants that still rely on coal. And it is making technical and non-technical stakeholders aware of different clean energy technologies, providing training and helping to transfer best practices.
