Sustainable Landscapes Results Framework
This framework lays out a path for helping developing countries to transition to low emissions development through investments in clean energy and sustainable landscapes.
It starts with two intermediate results (IRs): Establish a foundation for low carbon energy systems and invest in land-use practices that stop, slow, and reverse emissions from deforestation and degradation of forest and other landscapes.
This is followed by three sub-IRs, below, and further set of results identified to achieve them:
- National frameworks for low emission development established or improved
- Capacity in partner countries for national scale implementation of low emission development strategies in the land-use sector, including REDD+ activities, increased
- International framework for supporting low emission development as it impacts land use (including REDD+ architecture) established
The framework document explains each objective and why each intermediate result – and sub-sections – is needed in order to achieve the objectives.
