USAID Adaptation Community Meeting: Building Agency Capacity in Climate Change Adaptation at USAID

New technical information and best practices at the intersection of climate change and development are constantly emerging, requiring that USAID staff and other development practitioners gain new knowledge, skills and abilities. Educating USAID staff on climate change is also an Administration priority. The 2015 Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review calls for strengthening staff understanding and engagement in climate issues. Executive Order 13677 on Climate-Resilient International Development will require greater technical capacity for climate risk management of international development investments. Since 2011, more than 650 USAID staff members from 68 missions around the world have participated in online and face-to-face climate change courses. Join us to learn more about how USAID is building Agency capacity for climate change adaptation by providing climate change learning opportunities for all staff.
