USAID Clean Energy Investment Project
This factsheet explains the USAID Clean Energy Investment Project, which aims to help Macedonia increase its renewable energy generation and its reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Technical assistance includes streamlining renewable energy project development and investment processes.
The project is also helping to improve the legal framework for planning, launching and implementing a low emissions development process to advance economic growth, improve environmental management and meet development objectives. It is working with senior government officials, including the cabinet of the deputy prime minister for economic affairs, and ministries in key economic sectors.
The Clean Energy Investment Project coordinates its activities with other USAID projects and with bilateral and multilateral donors.
