From 2016 to 2023, USAID Climate Ready actively worked across the Pacific to draft and implement climate change adaptation policies, facilitate access to climate finance through project preparation and accreditation support, and improve adaptation project management capacity.

Among its many achievements are: the development of 19 climate change adaptation policies, plans and strategies; the preparation and submission of 86 adaptation project proposals; the mobilization of over US$562 million for climate resilience activities benefiting more than 800,000 people; the training of more than 2,500 people (52% women) to better manage and implement adaptation projects; and the embedding of gender equity and social inclusion considerations throughout implementation.
