USAID Resilience

This video explains how climate change has exacerbated famine, drought and other development problems worldwide in the past three decades and how USAID is now helping partnering countries to build resilience.

It notes that climate shocks are coming faster and more people are being displaced. At the same time, humanitarian resources are strained.

USAID is changing the way it does business to build resilience to recurrent crises and lay the foundation for inclusive growth and make smarter investments for long-term impact.  In Kenya, for example, USAID is blending its humanitarian and development assistance.

Worldwide, it is working with countries to strengthen their ability to adapt to climate change. The video notes it is helping the most vulnerable communities move from cycles of crisis to a pathway toward development.
