Launched in 2015, Climatelinks is a global knowledge portal for USAID staff, implementing partners, and the broader community working at the intersection of climate change and international development. The portal curates and archives technical guidance and knowledge related to USAID’s work to help countries mitigate and adapt to climate change.

We aim for this portal to improve climate change and development programming, amplifying the impact of USAID’s investments into the future. We hope Climatelinks becomes a place for development practitioners to help identify and refine practices, and to inform USAID’s technical direction in areas of information gaps.

ABC’s of Environmental Defenders

The ABC’s of Environmental Defenders addresses basic concepts, figures, and data of interest on the challenges faced by the people who protect the right to a healthy environment in the Peruvian Amazon. It presents key and up-to-date information targeted to those involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of strategies for the protection of environmental defenders.
USAID is partnering with the Government of Colombia to strengthen the capacity to increase sustainable land use and decrease deforestation in order to protect the Chiribiquete National Park, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site.
